Is there a plan to include joints in the USD export, or is documentation for .f3d available that might include details that would allow the translation of the joint definitions into the exported USD file.

I am looking for the same functionality.  I need functionality to export USD or USDZ files that includes joint information.  Specifically I need spherical, revolute, and prismatic joints.  This is necessary for most robotics workflows.

I'm now watching this thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-api-and-scripts/how-to-save-as-usd-file-with-api/m-p/11260...

It offers details for the basic geometry export. I hoping for follow up with an example of how joints can be derived from the Base class.

This section of the document indicates that the api does enable joint export:

Interesting.  Thanks for posting.  Have you had any luck using the API to export the joint data in USD format yet?

It looks like you can work with joints in the API.  It also looks like you can, in general, save components as USD files.  But I don't know if you can use this somehow to export joint info in the USD file.
