Change extrude operation default from "new body" to "new component"

Hello, 

Would anybody know about an add in or script that can change the default operation in the extrude command from "new body" to "new component".

This would be incredible helpful for my general workflow. Now I have to manually select new component every time and it's really annoying. 

Would this be incredible hard to create? Would something like that be possible with API?

I've tried creating one with the use of an AI, That's 10 hours of my life I'm never getting back... 😅

If it doesn't exist is there somewhere online where I could get into contact with some freelancers or something that can write codes like that on commission perhaps. To me it looks like this would not be to difficult but I could be wrong, I'm a carpenter not an software engineer.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. The API provides a programming interface to the same underlying technology the user interface provides access to. The API doesn't provide the ability to modify commands.
