API for drawing workspace

Is there a plan for more support on the API for the drawing workspace?

I find that the abilities in how part list can be made is very limited in Fusion. Either you can choose top level components or ALL levels.

My suggestion would be to be able to put balloons connected to different components or bodies in the design, and then the part list (names and so on) would update according to what component the edge/face/point the balloon is attached to. So if you drag the connection point of the balloon to a different component, the part list would update.
I don't see this as a very large and difficult thing to make. I might be wrong, but at the moment it seems like the API would not support the writing of this kind of add in.

Any thoughts @BrianEkins ?

I can't speak for Autodesk but based on what I do know, I wouldn't count on any enhancements to the API with respect to the drawing workspace. It depends on how the team that supports the drawing workspace prioritizes their work and so far the API has not been a high priority compared to the other work they have.

Thats too bad

Thats too bad 😞
What about the design space. Is there going to be any additional API support there in the future? Or does the different paid extension packages stop the open API from evolving?

They are still supporting and enhancing the API. Quite a bit of new functionality both in the modeling and CAM areas have been added in the past year and I'm confident that more is coming.
