Am I allowed to choose the directory that Fusion 360 installs in?

I just downloaded Fusion 360, and started the installer, assuming that I would be presented with the option to choose the directory of installation, but Fusion 360 proceeded to install on its own. This is a problem, because I only have 4GB of storage on my Boot Drive, but I have over 100GB available on my 😧 Drive. Is there a way I can make Fusion360 install on the latter?

I don't know if it is possible to change installation directory.

An option could be to use a linked directory from boot drive (c:) to the other drive (d:).

Since Fusion 360 is installed in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk (*), you can try the following step by step (for windows; I don't know how it could be on Mac):

1. Create the directory d:\Autodesk

2. Run cmd as system admin

3. cd C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local

4. mklink /J Autodest d:\Autodesk

(*): replace <user> with your username

Then you can try to install Fusion 360.

I hope this could help out.
