Tube notcher script or addin

Hello,

This is my first post to this forum.

I was thinking about an easy way to make tube joints with locating notches for laser cutting. Doing it manualy takes a long while. I searched the internet for something that does this but cant find anything.

I have an idea but i want to know if it is possible before i invest a lot of time researching how to program it.  

I want to be able to select 2 body's that are modeled on to each other and have the addon make notches on one and corresponding holes in the other. See my images.

If that works, the next step will be to make it customizalbe. Like the notch width, length, tolerance between notch and hole, etc.

Do you think this can be done?

I wanna make a cylinder notcher to go with my drinking spree. If it's not too much trouble post a few pics of your natively constructed tube notchers alongside any prompt you may have.

Was there anything developed for this? I'd love to use that on the chassis I'm working on.
