Setting different part numbers between configurations

It seems there might be an issue, unless I've missed something.

When setting up new design configurations, if I attempt to assign different part numbers to specific components, the changes are automatically applied to all configurations, which is quite confusing.

The only workaround I've found is to manually correct the values in the table.

I suspect the same behavior occurs at the API level. If we set a particular value to component.partNumber, Fusion appears to apply it to all configurations, which seems problematic to me.

Please advise.

I am afraid this is as designed (at least right now), we update the component Part Number(PN) for all the configurations to be the same only when the first time changing default PN.

The idea behind is that, when we change the default PN for any of the configurations, e.g. from "Component1" to "ABC-1" for Configuration1, very likely we will change the PN for all the other configurations as well with similar naming style, so we decided to update them once together with the same name, then we can update them one by one, for example, ABC-2, ABC-3, for Configuration2 and Configuration3.
