The fix improved performance by a factor of 10 returning the add-in to it's expected response time. Many thanks to the development team for their quick resolution! Icarus
My add-in was unusable after the October update but I want to also thank Autodesk for the quick reaction to the problem and getting the Nov. 4th update out so quickly. It's all back running as before now.
