Hey everyone, I need to find someone to hire/collaborate with, to investigate and probably produce a plugin for fusion 360. I know some python, but modern software and programming is incredibly complicated and it's unrealistic to think I can tackle the challenges at hand on my own. I am a one man show little startup.
I need you to be able to sign a non disclosure agreement. We are developing a new kind of digital fabrication tool, but the hope is to make use of the CAM and some of the other functionality of fusion 360 to enable us to produce some initial demo parts quickly. For the longer term, there may be work developing a tool based on python and python libraries which can perform the functions needed, so we are not dependent on fusion.
The physical machine will not be built for a few months yet, so there is time to explore, consider options, and try to act efficiently, to produce software that will generate the required G-code. It is not clear yet if the level of detail of control that fusion can provide is sufficient, although I have hope.
I know it is expensive and I don't have a huge budget, but there is some money here now, and should be a lot more in the future, especially after we get some demo parts and show the viability to investors.
I have one consultant who I work with already, a software developer of 30 years experience, but they don't know anything specific to the fusion 360 api, and they can only put in a very small number of hours per week.
