I have a laptop I want to install Fusion 360 on to take with me up to northern AZ top work on learning this software.

I have did the download and then tried to run it just opens a window and then it disappears and that is it no error message or nothing to let you know what happened or if anything is wrong.  It installed fine on my home desktop but that has windows ten and the laptop has windows 7,  Will this run on windows 7 I am pretty sure that I have service pak 1 on this machine.

any help or let me know if it will not install on windows 7

Thanks

Marcel

Hello,

Please refer to the following page for system requirements for Fusion 360. Please note we don't support 32bit OS. In case your Win7 is 32bit.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Sys...

Further we may need installation log to diagnose what's happened in your machine. Please go to the folder "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\" and find "autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log" and post it in the thread or send it to me(marshal.tu@autodesk.com) for analysis.

Thanks,

Marshal

Hello,

I have a suggestion about Fusion 360 forums:

Adding a 6th forum to the current 5 Fusion 360 forums and dedicating it to topics like the topic of this post. For example 3ds Max and Maya both have separate forums named "Installation - Hardware - OS" for addressing installation issues and related topics (here & here).

Regards,

Navid

@nnikbin - thanks for the suggestion.  We're always looking at possible boards to create based upon traffic on particular topics, while trying to keep the number of overall board to a minimum.  The current traffic for install related topics is fairly low, but I do like the way it's done for Max/Maya in that it also includes hardware, OS, etc, so maybe something we can consider adding at some point.
