Install of Shaper Utilities fails on Mac High Sierra

I'm attempting to install the Shaper Utilities Add In on a Mac running High Sierra but it fails. What can I do to help diagnose the problem?

I tried a whole bunch of things that didn't work.

Hopefully it works for you too assuming you are still trying 1 year later!
