How to "insert derive" in the fusion 360 api

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to perform the "insert derive" function programmatically using the python API. I seem to be able to insert a component but I would like to take advantage of the "insert derive" functionality to only insert a body from another file into my design. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, the API does not currently support the derive functionality.
