How do you split a body along a face?

Hello, all.

I am a little new to Fusion 360, and am trying to split a body into two bodies along a curved face. When I try the "split body" tool, select the body, and the curved surface, I get an error: "Compute Failed."

Not sure what to do here. Any help appreciated..

Thanks,

Rick

Hi @rick.giovanini1 .

No one will be able to answer because there is too little information.
Showing a sample f3d file or code is a shortcut to a solution.

Does the operation process correctly in the GUI?

No problem, somebody was able to fix this same problem in another thread I found with a similar amount of information, the same error, and no picture in that thread.

I have no idea how to show the code of my object changes..

The solution for anyone with a similar problem (according to the 1 time I had seen someone get this fixed and my issue along with the time recently it fixed for me) is to thicken the face. By thickening the face you are able to create an intersection with the face where there may have not been one originally.

@rick.giovanini1 .

Since the SplitBodyFeature does not allow the Splitting Tool to specify multiple surfaces, I have suggested an alternative.

I have created a sample that splits a torus between two surfaces. However, it is all in Japanese.
