Find brep using ray error

I have been using find brep using ray for quite some time in some of my automations. After the weekend, the function is no longer working for me and instead saying

"RuntimeError: 3 : object is invalid"

This is something that definitely worked in the past as I have run it on previous cases where it was successful, but is no longer operational.
