Hi. I'm using MacOS: Sequoia, 15.6, Fusion: 2604.1.48 arm64 [Native], and PyCharm 2024.2.6 (Professional Edition) Build #PY-242.26775.22, built on April 23, 2025.
Short version: Anyone have a HOWTO for writing/debugging Python scripts for Fusion on MacOS, in PyCharm, here in November of 2025?
I have been trying to get started using my Python IDE of choice, PyCharm. I've found links to a PyCharm plugin (`fusion360_python_debug_addin`), but I can't seem to use it because it won't recognize the Fusion executable (it asks for Fusion360.exe, which seems like a Windows thing.) I've tried picking the app bundle (i.e. '.../Autodesk Fusion.app'), and I've tried linking directly to the executable (i.e. '.../Autodesk Fusion.app/Contents/MacOS/Autodesk\ Fusion'). Neither seems to do the trick. I'm presently out of ideas.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Ian
