Combine all touching/intersecting bodies within a component script

Hello,
If I had a varying number of bodies within a component, (simply from the pattern feature, driven by a unitless parameter), might there be a simple script which I run that combines all bodies which intersect each other, into however many separate bodies that makes?
like a
get all > add all
type thing???
And then also, "a make all bodies within a component into individual components" ( thus making the original component become an assembly). This follows on from the above, where I don't know how many bodies there might be...
Can this type of thing be scripted even?
