Cannot find Scripts folder on Mac

Not applicable

Hey all,

I'm trying to follow the instructions detailed in the "How to install add-in or script" page to manually install a script manually and it's telling me the Folder path for Scripts in macOS is ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/API/Script.  Problem is, I can only go as far as ~/Library/Application Support.  In the Application Support folder, there is no Autodesk folder.  I know I have Fusion 360 installed on my Mac because I'm looking right at it.  I have it open.  But I cannot find any folder anywhere on my laptop that is anything close to Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/API/Script.

Any ideas on what is going wrong here?

Apple has hidden all the folders in the Application Support folder

To find the scripts folder from the finder you need:

Finder -> Go -> Go to folder...

and paste in the address of the scripts folder.

If you are intending to do much work in that folder it will be worth putting an alias of it in the Finder sidebar - just drag the folder to the sidebar of any Finder window.

I am having the same problem. The Go To Folder doesn't find the folder. it is like  the Autodesk and the rest of the path doesn't exist. Any help appreciated.

OK

You need to open the Terminal app found in /Applications/Utilities

Enter the following into the app exactly, and press 'Enter'

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE;killall Finder

This will show all the hidden files on your Mac. Once you have finished with the scripts folder you can hide these files again by running the same command with FALSE substituting for TRUE.

Thank you. I found that going in the finder to the folder you can see and right click your mouse you can un hide the other folders as well.
