Can not install any Add-in

Hello, everybody!

 

I couldn't find a solution to this issue, I even went through clean uninstall and new download and install Fusion 360: any add-in downloaded and bought from Autodesk App Store fails to install with a note "Installation failed". (MacOS Mojave 10.14.5, iMac27 2017)

 

Please let me know of the solution; I need to use products I have bought (to make money and to grow up from startup licensee to a full paying customer).

Hi, @goyals,

 

It's for all add-ins without exception.

However, as I already suspected, it is a filesystem issue, as @jesse pointed me to in a DM. Something (I think nothing other than Fusion 360 itself) is rewriting access privileges for the F 360 folders (add-ins) in the user library in a way it takes away the actual user write privileges to the affected folders. The solution is simply add actual user the read-and-write privileges for the ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/API/AddIns and/or  ~/Library/Containers/com.autodesk.mas.fusion360/Data/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins. 

 

So, the hat tip goes to @jesse however the real solution is on the Fusion 360 dev team, I think.
