CAM API

Hi Guys, 

Can someone tell me the current status of the CAM API for Fusion 360? I am looking to purchase the software but I need to be able to fully automate the CAM process via the API and the only documentation I seem to be able to find regarding the CAM API capabilities dates back to January 2016 where it says that there is only limited capabilities (specifically the setups and some operations need to already be manually assigned to a component).

I cannot seem to get anyone from Autodesk to answer the phone to help me.

I am a PowerMill (Autodesk) user.
Until now, we have used some 3DCAM software.
PowerMill has a powerful macro (API).
I think there is a good chance you can do the automation you want.
