API access to Motion Study functionality?

Does the current API expose the Motion Study functionality at all? In particular, I would like to be able to programmatically cycle through all the steps in a motion study and capture position and orientation values for each moving component...

The API in the current release of Fusion 360 does not support motion study functionality.  It is something we plan to do soon but to help set your expections, it's not in the next release either.

OK, thanks for the information.

I was trying to work out whether I might be able to produce an animation of a mechanism in action by some means other than recording a screengrab. I guess I'll stick with that for the time being.

@ekinsb, so it's been over 5 years that API access to motion studies was planned to be added "soon." Is there any schedule to go forward with this? I find no reference to motion studies in the object diagram or in the API docs.

I can certainly understand any frustration here.  I've also needed this for some things I was working on.  I'm hopeful that we'll see this much sooner than another 5 years but I can't make any promises.  😊
