Using Multiple WCS- Parts in different orientations

Hello,

I am running a retrofitted Bridgeport Boss CNC with a Saunders Machine Works Fixture Plate.  Part blank size is about 3"x.75".  Using the modular vise system I can fit, 6 Parts running longways in the Y directions (3 dual station vises), and 3 additional parts down at the bottom of the work envelope running longways in the X direction  (3 single stations vises).  My issue arises when I'd like to minimize tool changes by using multiple WCS offsets and prioritizing by tool.  I cant seem to figure out a way, using the multiple WCS, to tell fusion that 3 of the parts are located at 90 degrees to the others. I know this can be achieved using the patterning function but I auto probe each parts location prior to running the program and this is easier to achieve using the multiple WCS.  In short, how do I inform fusion, using multiple WCS, that 3 of the parts are not in the same orientation as the other 6 so I can order by Tool?  Any help would be much appreciated.

I think the only way is to:

  • Copy the setup and rotate the wcs in the new one
  • Then set the work offset numbering in both (1-6 in first, 7-9 in second)
  • Post them together

The first (X) setup

The second (Y) setup

Then select both setups and post, with reorder to minimize tool change on
