Unable to download render image

Not sure when this started to happen, i think it might have been after a iMac update, but after i have done a render the download button no longer brings up the box to save the image. I'm running 10.13.4 Beta (17E150g) on my iMac and the latest version of Fusion360, i have even done a reinstall of Fusion 360 just incase.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

I haven't seen any problems with rendering on the non-beta Mac OS, I am wondering if this behavior is related to it. Did you experience any problems before you began using the beta OS? If you revert back to the production build of the Mac OS, does the issue continue? Beta operating systems are not technically supported by Fusion 360 and may cause problems with using the software.

You may be able to work around this problem by performing an in-canvas render and then using the capture image command.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Going back to non-beta fixed the problem. Thanks 🙂

Just installed macOS High SIerra 10.13.4 as a recommended stability, performance, and security update for Mac - now experiencing the similar problems as described above: attempts to download rendered images result in a message "Alert! An error occured while downloading this image. The server may be busy. Please try again later."

While the server may indeed be busy, the problem has now persisted longer than 10 hours. Unfortunately I cannot go back and try unistalling this update.

Hi @JSie

Thanks for posting! I've seen a few reports of the behavior you have described today.

Please gather your diagnostic log files using this procedure and attach them to one of the forum threads linked above - I am happy to have a look.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your workaround! Our development team has proposed another fix that I will post here for all to try - please let me know if it works for you.

  1. Go to [WINDOWS] <user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<latest fusion version>\Neutron\Server\BatchRender\Resources\vx360.webcomponents\scripts or [MAC]/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production/<latestFusionversion>/Libraries/Neutron/Neutron/Server/BatchRender/Resources/vx360.webcomponents/scripts
  2. there are two files vx360.webcomponents.js, vx360.webcomponents.lib.js.
  3. backup these files elsewhere on your computer
  4. Replace them with the files shared below: vx360.webcomponents.js, vx360.webcomponents.lib.js
  5. Go to [WINDOWS] <user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<latest fusion version>\Neutron\Server\BatchRender\Resources\vx360.webcomponents\css or [MAC]

    /Users/<username>//Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/production/<latestFusionversion>/Libraries/Neutron/Neutron/Server/BatchRender/Resources/vx360.webcomponents/css

  6. there are two files vx360.webcomponents.css, vx360.webcomponents.lib.css.

  7. backup these files elsewhere on your computer

  8. Replace them with the files shared below: vx360.webcomponents.css, vx360.webcomponents.lib.css

The files are shared at this link.

Please let me know how this goes.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for reaching out! You may need to ensure that you can have shown hidden files and folders using this procedure.

The files could be in a different location on the App Store install - I will ask around and try to confirm that location.

Yep i had hidden files set to display, btw as of macOS Sierra you no longer need to do the terminal trick to display hidden files, you just press:

CMD + SHIFT + .

When in the folder (finder)

Thanks @Anonymous

The quickest way to address this may be for you to do a clean uninstall and reinstall Fusion through your account page at manage.autodesk.com.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the response - I am sorry to hear that. Were you given the option to submit a crash report when Fusion crashed? I'm curious if the crash will occur again after restarting your system.

Please let me know how it goes after a restart and if you are able to submit crash reports - I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the response - I am sorry to hear the crash is occurring. What happens if you replace the original files you backed up earlier?

I'll reach out to development for guidance on how to continue troubleshooting here and circle back with more information.

It crashes just the same when the download button is pressed, on the install from the App Store that did not crash that just did not do anything when the download button got pressed.

so App Store = does not do anything on button press

Auto deal Accounts download = crashes on button press

hi guys same problem here.

form yesterday it is impossible to download the rendered images.

Fusion just shuts down and reboots.

For the fusion team see

CER_168163243

 we have version 2.0.3803

It is really frustrating. In the past we could render without paying. Now we need to pay BUT we cannot download ?

I have rebooted my Mac from scratch and reinstalled fusion but no difference.

please help asap.

Hi All,

I wanted to reach out to provide an update on this problem. While the development team has been unable to find the root cause of this issue at this time, they will be continuing to investigate this problem with high priority. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

While this behavior is investigated, please work around the issue by downloading your renderings from http://rendering.360.autodesk.com.

Hi @Anonymous,

Apologize for this problem. Did it pop any error message? It would be helpful if you could share the error message to us. And could you help to debug this problem like this?

  1. install fiddler from here: http://www.telerik.com/fiddler.
  2. launch fiddler, and then go to Tools -->Options --> HTTPS --> check 'Capture HTTPS CONNECTs' and check 'Decrypt HTTPS traffic'
  3. Restart Fusion and then try to view a rendering and try download
  4. when the error dialog pop, go to fiddler : File --> Save --> all sessions
  5. share the log to support.autodesk360.rendering@autodesk.com

Thanks,
Sally Dong

Hi, sorry I would like to help, but if I have learned one think, aseptically with people working for me, is that we don't allow installations other than what is in the App Store .

Yes I know, now we don't use fusion from the App Store any more. But it is a trusted company just like adobe.
