Error: There was a problem combining geometry together.
If attempting a Join/Cut/Intersect, try to ensure that the bodies have a clear overlap (problems can occur where faces and edges are nearly coincident).
Failed to Boolean bodies together.
Oddly, I am using these same tool bodies (the blowers) to cut other bodies without issues. Yes - there are faces and edges nearly coincident but it works for other cuts. Is that the issue?
Any suggestions?

Looks like the blowers are touching the inside of the box, and should be aligned to the outside of the box, but pic is probably optical illusion anyway.
It is just the angle. It is aligned exactly to the outside - so there are coincident faces and edges which is apparently the issue. As soon as I push the blower(tool) a fraction outside of the box (target) - the cut works just fine. There are plenty of workarounds for this but all a kind of a pain - many extra steps. This seems like a bug and yet it works (even with the same tool) on other bodies where there are coincident faces/edges. I guess they warn you that "problems may occur"...
Could you please post your model so the forum users can troubleshoot your issue using the actual model?

Can't send entire model however I have attached a simplified example with similar geometries. Seems fairly simple - single body, single tool.
Just another note, as mentioned, there are workarounds but they are time consuming. In this example, if I create separate bodies for each extrusion (instead of joining into single body- the original target) , cut each of these bodies with the blower(tool), and then recombine target bodies it "works".
Not sure if it is related however now I am also getting boolean errors with simple joins when extruding.
Error: Extrude4 - Compute Failed - Failed to perform boolean operation.
So it does appear that the issue is related to the coincident faces and edges. If one adds just a bit more overlap to the target in the model, the cut works. Not sure how to determine where best to put this overlap as there already was overlap albeit mostly with coincident faces and edges.
