Project members: Replace project admin

Hello,

I am leaving our company, and I am the project admin of several projects. I need to remove myself from the projects, and nominate someone else as admin.

I can't find a solution to this... Could maybe an autodesk employee check out my account and give me a hint what I need to do? Thanks!!!

Hi @Willa1980,

I need to confirm the leaving workflow, but for the most part is should be as follows.

First, I would assign others to be project admins BEFORE you remove yourself for obvious reasons. To do this, click your thumbnail in the top right corner of Fusion Team and select Admin.

Once in Admin settings, select Projects and then for each project you can Manage Roles and assign different user admin privileges. Once that is set up, all you need to do is visit each project yourself, and in the Activity Feed should be a "Leave Project" button. (You need to hover over the Joined Project button for this to appear)

Then, once everything is set up with the new admin, they can go back into Admin settings and select Members. Under your name, they can deactivate you. The only thing I am unsure about which I need to verify is the impact that deactivating you has. I believe it will fully remove you from the Team Hub. I am unsure if this affects any data that you have put into the team hub. My gut tells me this is not the case, but I will confirm.

Thanks,

Dear James,

Thank you very much. I registered to "Fusion Team" with my autodesk account shortly before I posted my question - but I didn't know what to do with it. Now, I also found out how I can transfer projects from "myhub.autodesk360.com" to the "Team Hub" "mygmx850.autodesk360.com".

However, this opens a new question: In Fusion360, the start-up company that I was working for, qualified for the "Fusion 360 Start-up licensing". So using Fusion360 was free. The "Team Hub" says that it is a 30 day trial. Does that mean that changing the project admin is not available for free? It is only possible to change the admin after buying a "Team Hub" license?

Thanks for your help!

William

Hi there again!

So now I managed to transfer all projects to the team hub (Team WiTi). On my windows machine, I can switch between hubs, and everythin is nicely organized. But the people I wanted to transfer the projects to use an apple computer. There is no option "switch hubs" on their fusion version. How can they access, view and edit all the projects now...?

Thanks!!

Ok, I checked on another mac, and switching hubs works ok! Thanks.

But I can't leave my projects, there is no "leave button" anywhere... 😞

Hi @Willa1980,

Once you are in Fusion Team, if you hover over the Project name three options to the right should appear, including being able to leave the project.

Alternatively, the admin should be able to go into the Members and Roles section under their Admin settings and manually remove you.

Thanks,
