Thank you for reporting this. It looks like a graphics issue.

The graphics driver for your Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family seems like it was updated on 4/17/2017. Does the Intel Update Driver Utility find any updates for your graphics card? See the link below for the utility.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

There's some suggestions in this collection of solution articles that may help.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/collection/16666

Can you try the settings suggested in this solution article?

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Do you know if the graphics card meets the system requirements? In the screenshot of the graphics diagnostics dialog, the video memory is only 64 MB of video memory. The system requirements have a minimum requirement of 512 MB of video memory.

Would it be possible to post a copy of your DirectX Diagnostic report? You can obtain this using the following procedure:

  1. Launch %windir%\system32\dxdiag.exe
  2. Select Save All Information
  3. Please reply with the resulting *.TXT file attached

This will let me know more about your video card. I suspect that the graphics card may not be supported by Intel any longer and that there may not be an easy solution.

Have you tried the setting to Optimize Performance?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

You have an integrated graphics card and only 4 GB of RAM on the system. The graphics card can share up to 1631 MB of your system's memory. If you look at the Performance tab in the Task Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC), how much available memory is there on your system when you're trying to run Autodesk Fusion 360?

I'm wondering if your are running out of system memory. You can also try to decrease the visual effects in Windows to help with performance. This may also free up some memory.

To adjust all visual effects for best performance:

  1. Open Performance Information and Tools by opening the Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.
  2. Click Adjust visual effects.  Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the Visual Effects tab, click Adjust for best performance, and then click OK. (For a less drastic option, select Let Windows choose what’s best for my computer.)

I hope this suggestion helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Only 1 GB of system memory is available in your screenshot. That is not really that much memory. One thing that may be worth considering is upgrading the system memory on that computer. With that said, I'm not 100% sure it will solve the problem, but if this is something that is easy to test I would recommend trying it.

One other thing is there may be an issue with the currently installed driver.  Could you try clean uninstalling your graphics driver and the re-installing?

To clean uninstall your Intel Graphics Driver:

  1. Open the Add/Remove Programs window using the steps provided for your operating system:
Windows 7*: Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

  2. Find the Intel Graphics Driver. The driver can also be called the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver (Intel® GMA Driver). Please note that there is a GMA graphic card that is not support according to the System Requirements
  3. Right click Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
  4. Follow the prompts stated by the Intel Installation Framework window to complete the process.
  5. Reboot the computer after the uninstall process has finished.

Or... you could also

  1. Open the Device Manager using the steps provided for your operating system:
Windows 7: Click Start > Run, type: devmgmt.msc

  2. Expand the Display Adapters section.
  3. Find the Intel Graphics Driver. The driver can also be called the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver (Intel® GMA Driver).
  4. Right click Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
  5. Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
  6. Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.

After this, try going back to the intel website and running the intel driver update utility.

I hope that helps! Please keep me updated on your progress!
