Path of cursor shown as dotted line in all commands/menus

Without any command selected the path of the cursor is shown as a dotted line. When Inspect>Measure selected from pulldown menu, it too has a dotted line following cursor. When Sketch is selected without any commands selected the cursor path also is shown as a dotted line. After a minute or so of trying to get out of that mode(escape, escape) the screen is full of dotted lines. I will insert a bitmap image from MS Paint of the screen

How do you have your graphics card set up in Preferences?

I restarted Fusion 360 and that cleared the problem. I posted the fault so that software engineers at AutoDesk could see a recurring problem if it shows up again.
