How to use the Parameter window?

Creating user Parameters is a great idea, but the implementation in F360 is sadly lacking.

Once you get beyond creating a few it becomes very cumbersome to use. Is it possible to order (sort) your Parameters? If not, why is such a "standard" feature missing?

Thanks

Hi @iotPZF5K

Thanks for the feedback - I agree that the current sorting options in the Parameters dialog do leave some options to be desired.

One way to work around this is to use the "Favorite" parameters. You add a parameter (model  or user defined) to the Favorites by clicking the star to the left of the parameter. This is still cumbersome in large designs, but can help isolate the few parameters that are being used.

I'm not sure of developments future plans for improving the parameters dialog, but welcome any suggestions on the Fusion 360 Ideastation. There is a similar post requesting the ability to sort parameters at this link.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the obvious thing would be to allow basic sorting using the heading bars, like is implemented everywhere else. I checked on the idea station and that is what has been suggested already.

Seems a shame because one would imagine it wouldn't be difficult to implement.
