You did not mention if this is a Windows based workstation, I will assume it is. Give this site a look see to see if it has your solution. You also might try and disabling User Access Control temporary. After you log in to your computer as administrator, as the article suggests, you will find it in the Control Panel, User Accounts.
Note where the setting is so you can return it after installation. Slide the bar to the bottom of the scale, then restart. You might seriously think about disabling your Anti-Virus application temporarily also.
