Fusion 360 Locks up on Security code

I recently built a new computer and i have been trying to install Fusion 360 as i have previously used it on my laptop and would like to continue. Unfortunately i have run into an issue where the entire application locks up after i attempt to login and i cant type any numbers of my security code in. The application does NOT give me the "Application is not responding" message through task manager but i cannot click ANY icons and the "Expires in " countdown timer is not moving. I know an image inst really all that helpful but i don't know what else to do. I have tried a full uninstall, I have tried to delete the XML file in  '%localappdata%\autodesk\'

Please help me...

Hi @abrahamtr ,

Can you try this in the meantime:

  1. Close Fusion 360
  2. Visit accounts.autodesk.com
  3. Navigate to the Security Tab
  4. Disable Two Step Authentic
    1. If you cannot receive a text code, send via email.

Once disabled, relaunch Fusion and you should be able to get in. This will keep you productive in the meantime while we troubleshoot. Does this go fully unresponsive as soon as the code is sent?

Thanks,

Thank you!

I'll try that when i get home and report back on the results.

I can use the countdown on the top as a judgement if it has locked up or not. Sometimes I can leave it for a few seconds but the moment i start to interact with it it locks up.  One time i managed to get 1-2 of the numbers in but  can never click the button. What is weird is that Fusion seems to NOT be "Not responding" just that there is some un-clickable layer over top of the window. (if that makes any sense)
My computer works TOTALLY fine otherwise and i can continue using other applications. I even left it for a few hours one night to see if it would snap out of it but no luck.

Hi @abrahamtr,

Very interesting. I wonder if there is a dialog overlay when this is happening. Are you using multiple monitors? Is Fusion full-screened, or smaller?

Thanks,

Hi @James.Youmatz

It seems to work now, I'll report back if i have any issues.

Fusion is full screen on one of my 2 1080P Lenovo displays from a 1080 and 8700K with 32Gb of ram.

I did notice that there seems to be a lot more fusion 360 processes than i remember but that could just be me.

Let me know if there is any other information that might be useful!
