Error When Using the Loft Tool: Rail is not Smooth

When I select the profiles everything seems fine, but I get an error when I select the rail. stating that the "Rail is not Smooth". I carefully ensured it intersected with the profiles and it's just a simple Fit Point Spline. What am I doing wrong?

it would be helpful to have the model.  The red dot is showing where it thinks the discontinuity is.  Which is odd, because that point is on a profile, not the rail.  The dialog shows chaining is disabled, otherwise it may pick up connected curves as part of the rail.  Will need to look at the model to tell for certain.

Note that my sketches have dimensions - so I know how big and where everything is in space.

Notice that there are no blue curves or white dots.

definitely pay attention to what @TheCADWhisperer says, and look at his design.  However, I think there is still a bug here - at the very least it is a misleading error message - nothing is wrong with your rail curve, and I think that error is inappropriate to the failure.  I've created FUS-77074 to look into that.  Attached is a simplified version of the design which does show this problem.
