Create organic shape

I want to create an organic shape within the blue lines I have there. I just patch in the second photo, but was told that I shouldn't do that. Tried using loft instead, but couldn't get it to work. Should in the and be a 2mm shell that looks like picture 2. Skjermbilde 2020-04-29 kl. 11.54.20.pngSkjermbilde 2020-04-29 kl. 11.54.44.png

In the other thread, you started you mentioned having problems thickening.

My main concerns were offset splines, which almost always have broken curvature, which can lead to problems with a thickening.

The spine on the top is the original one, the one on the bottom with the spikes  is the offset one:

My other concern was the bottom, where you use a patch to create a surface:

If you take a look at that surface with Inspect-Curvature map you'll in areas which are less than ideal. That also can lead to problems with a thickening.

As this looks like a trimmed egg shape you might be better off lofting a complete half-egg shape and then trimming off the bottom. That will create a much better surface, which should thicken without problems.

I've created and attached a model to explain what I mean with the trimmed egg. Hopefully, you can gain some insights into new ideas from it.
