Create Object from Surface

I thought I saw something like this done on a fusion 360 video, but I can't find it.  I want to create ribbon like object that lays flat on a surface.  I've attached a picture of what I am looking to do.  I have the face already, just need to know how to create the orange surface.

Ideas?  Thanks.

Sorry, that's not my part.  That's from a YouTube video of someone doing something similar in a different program.  I'm trying to learn how to do this in fusion 360.

After many hours of searching, I found that I was asking for the wrong thing.  I was trying to create a t-spline body from a portion of another t-spline body.  But what I really wanted to do was create a t-spline body from a mesh.  This video gives a pretty good intro into how this process works using the "snap to body".

It looks like I have a significant amount of work ahead of me, with lots and lots of clicking, so I'm happy to receive any tips to make this process faster.

Thanks.
