cosmetic threads texture bleed

getting cosmetic thread textures bleeding out into other surfaces in the model - it can be fixed by going to modeled threads but that causes other problems ...

not sure what the cause is - anyone experienced this ?

 - cant share the model but the base model comes in as a STEP file.

 

Is there anyway to just turn-off the cosmetic texture ?

there is no way to turn off cosmetic thread textures.  However, what you show seems like a bug.  Can you share the model here, so that we can see what is going on?

you can fix this by changing from a threaded hole to a simple hole then reapply the thread again

thanks, @moriarty.chch .  That is truly strange.  I have never seen that before.  Thanks for the model, I'll have the graphics team look into it to see why this is happening.
