BUG: Inpropiate joint min and max limit behavior

Hi,

Here is my design:

http://a360.co/2plSp08

Version 1

In assembly : "Zlozenie napedu wysokosci miedzy pasami" there is joint named "HGW20HC1 slide".

I drive the joint to position 68 and then to position 220. I set up "Edit joints limit" to minimum 68 and maximum 220.

Try to move the HGW20HC_1_R_400_Z0_H_ZZX component and you will notice that "Drive position" is different from limited position and there is no possibility to set up proper position by fiddling with min and max limits.

I fight with this for few hours. Gave up.

Hopefully you can solve this.

Krzysztof

Thanks for sharing the design @Anonymous,

When you say that this joint has the different drive position than its limits, I assume that you mean that you cannot set the position of this joint to its lower limit (68) by dragging.  I see the same thing.  However, I was able to get the proper behavior by manually editing the value to be 68.  After that, the drag seems to be OK.  See the screencast:

We will look at this design to see if we can determine what is limiting the drag in the original model.

Here it is.

1. I checked by using drive joints option the minimum and maximum value needed.

2. Then I set up joints limits.  As you can see there is some weird behaviour (the extrusion moved itself)

3. Then I setup only minimum joint limit  (still not ok)

4. Then I setup only maximum joint limit (this works ok).

Hopefully now it is more clearly visible.

Thanks!!!

Sceencast link attached but is still "pending".

Here is screencast

BTW. I had to paste link to the screencast because if it is in "pending" state it is not visible on forum (using the "insert screencast" option). Also when editing post there is no possibily to edit "insert screencast" (chrome). Edit (on the bottom of page) looks like in the attachment.

Hi @Anonymous,

I apologize for the slow response on this.  I am traveling, and have had limited access to Fusion.  I will look into the problem you reported in your screencast.  It does look like unexpected behavior.  Thanks for posting the screencast.

Jeff
