Hey all,
We have been noticing an increased amount of force-quits from those of you running Fusion 360 on a Macbook Pro with touch-bar after upgrading your OS to High Sierra. We are digging into why Fusion 360 is hanging and would recommend to those of you using a Macbook Pro with touch-bar to postpone upgrading your OS if you want to continue to use Fusion 360 without issues. Our development team is diagnosing the issue and will report back once we have a fix.
Again, if you need to use Fusion 360 without issues on Macbook Pros with touch-bar, do not upgrade your OS to High Sierra just yet.
Thanks for your patience!
Whoops, wish I had seen this earlier. I already upgraded, and am having to Force Quit every 15 minutes 😞
Hopefully this will get fixed sooner rather than later.
Interesting... I just saw this and had upgraded during the RC. I have not had to force quit F360 at all. But I have noticed excessive wait time when performing sketch operations like drawling lines, trimming lines, etc.
Hi @SpectreGadget,
Hmm, they all seem related to sketch? I would be curious if this seems to make the behavior better. Click your name in the top-right hand corner and select Preferences. Then, click the design tab and then select "Auto-project edges on reference" and turn that off. You may need to restart Fusion to see this take effect. Do you notice any sketch improvements after this?
Hey all - quick update on this. We have a fix! We'll try to get it out to you as soon as the next update. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience on this one.
Keqing - it's great that you apparently fixed a hanging bug that rendered F350 unusable, but I've been in the β stream since June. It's now 20 October, the release came out on 25 September (a month ago) and the GM candidate came out a week and a half before that.
Please / FFS get some testers using current hardware and OS. Surely Autodesk can pay $100/year for the Apple developer programmer and a few k$ to buy at least one or two of the latest MacBook Pros when they come out for testing
Any news? I am having really hard times and I have lost 4 hours of work because of a crash.... 😞 I am going to start to learn Blender unwillingly. Please let me know if there is an update. Thanks
@murathanaraz We fixed this in the last update - is this still an issue you're seeing?
Which update addressed the problem? I am on 2.0.3700 and had it bomb out on me today.
Nevermind, dumb question. I forgot I was on the AppStore version now. Updating as I type.
I'm on a MacBook Pro w/ touch-bar and have recently upgraded to High Sierra, running the latest (?) version of Fusion.
I can't say that I've noticed any performance issues but what has been a problem is exporting files. This locks up Fusion requiring me to Force Quit, and even after re-opening Fusion sometimes it'll lock up again.
I remember @bmxjeff mentioning issues while using Fusion in "full-screen" mode, but I've experienced this lock-up either way.
Hi,
I loaded F360 for the first time After I upgraded to high Sierra on my MacBook Pro (not Touch Bar model). It seems there is another problem for you guys to address. My screen looks like this:
Obviously cant start learning this software until this issue is sorted.

Hi,
I just downloaded the trial and find that my Touch Bar on my MacBook Pro is completely gone (just black now) and not present when I go back to using other programs either. Fusion 360 is also running extremely slow. Even opening a simple drawing takes ages.
Is this a bug in the trial - or can I expect this in the paid version too?
I have: MacBook Pro 2017 with Touch Bar - High Sierra 10.13.4
Please let me know asap.
Thank you,
Hi @Anonymous,
I don't believe this has anything to do with Fusion or the trial version. My MBP does this from time to time and a restart of the machine helps clear this up. Do you see differently?
Thanks,
Hi @murathanaraz,
Can you try the steps here. This helped me once. A lot of MBP users have this problem apparently....
Thanks,
