Bend Position

It would be nice to add an offset to the bend position so i can add a small gap and prevent flanges from merging. As shown here this flange merges with its neighbor and the model becomes unfoldable.

Yup, this is something we know we need to address. One method proposed is offset like you mentioned. I think offset can help in other scenarios too.

Another method is to change the logic to not boolean flanges that touch. This would allow zero clearance for welding or similar. We have to make sure that is done right so as not to prevent creation of designs where you want to join flanges.

I agree offsets are needed and should be part of the flange creation process, but I also agree that the more important thing is to have boolean off by default, as you should be able to create the "ideal" part. Often if items are bent in the correct order you can have this interference fit work.

Another vote for the offset flanges as well as not have flanges merge when they intersect.
