Troubles with probe inspection

Hello,

I am having some difficulties getting my HAAS VF-6 (Pre-NGC) CNC mill to run my probe inspection toolpath without getting an alarm.  I have tried just about every setting alternative that I can think of and was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems or can just lend me some advice.   I am using the correct post (pre-ngc) from the Autodesk library and the baud rate, parity, stop bits and data bits are all set to the same settings that fusion recommended on their probe inspection tutorial.  I have no problem sending the program the machine via RS-232 through the COM7 port but can not run the program without triggering an alarm.  The alarm is saying RS-232 Buffer Overflow.  I will attach some pictures and snap shots I took to show what the set up looks like.  Also, I am using the terminal in Putty to receive from the CNC.    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Hi @Trantek-Automation,

Looking at your screenshots, the fact that you are receiving data seems to say the fundamentals are all working as we would expect.

Does the alarm happen at the same point every time?

Have you tried a slower baud rate, say 57600 would be worth a try.

Slowing down the baud rate is an easy one to try, another idea could be for us to put a small dwell after the DPRNT lines.

How have you got this connected to your PC, via a usb converter? do you have another one to try, you wouldn't be the first person I've come across where these can be a bit iffy.
