New to CNC Plasma/Fusion 360. *Long Post*

This is going to be a bit of a long post so I apologize ahead of time. I bought a Langmuir XR pro and I can't really get good answers from the company. Nothing against them but it seems like it's just one guy and when I talk to him he just wants me to send the program or translate it to sheetcam. I'd rather be proficient in this program considering the entire Langmuir tutorial was based around Fusion 360 so that's what I invested in.

So spec wise I am running a new Hypertherm Powermax 85 sync with the Langmuir XR pro. I am basing most all the specs off the Hypertherm user guide shown below and a few things off of Langmuir's tutorials.

The main issues I'm running into :

When I go to manufacture I get linking constraint problems. Which that I can't understand why it happens in some circumstances. In the beginning I was assuming it was because it was trying to run paths that were too tight but it'll do it on things that it really shouldn't have issues with. The example below the program decided to add these odd Y paths so it just cut into the face for no reason. I'll attach the dxf as well. Maybe I am doing something wrong in the actual design itself as far as linking constraints go.

The cut quality varies drastically from super straight to super wavy leaving artifacts in odd spots. Even with proper point of entry I'll get blow outs on corners. I'm not sure if that is a pierce delay issue or height. I am testing with hot rolled at the moment. It doesn't have really any slag. I was also curious if its that sensitive to it.

Obviously this could be mostly machine related so I'll take the same problem to Langmuir's forum as well. I was just curious as far as the program goes is there anything I am missing.

Welcome to the Forum, thanks for your Post.

It is always best to upload a Fusion f3d file, that way antone looking into things can see what settings have been used, to upload an f3d file go to :-

File > Export > Select f3d Format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to your reply.

There is a lot of work needed Editing the Sketch to get selection to work better, see attached file for some examples of one small edit that allowed the whole outer profile to be selected.

No idea if you want the cuts inside/center/outside so just did what I thought might be OK.

Re Quality, if you have set the correct settings as per your table then I think that Fusion will output the correct code and after that it will be down to learning the Machine 🙂 🙂 Hope the attached file is of some help 🙂 🙂

I have no errors here so without your file I don`t know what has been done to produce these errors 🙂

In the image below is an example of an edit, the line shown is been changed from on line to two shorter ones by using the "Break" option under the "Modify" tab in "Edit Sketch" mode.
