Mill like a lathe or "Mill Turn" Post Processor for Haas VF Mills

I modified a post processor from here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-computer-aided/using-a-mill-as-a-lathe/td-p/6450214

You can download it in this thread below. I will also link from the video to this post so that it's nice little loop. 😄

With some code for coolant from the Haas mill post, I have tested this successfully. The key is put a comment "G54" or "G55" or whatever WCS in the tool comment in Fusion. My modified post will look for those terms "G54,G55,G56, etc, etc" and change the WCS anytime a tool is changed in the CAM in Fusion.

My video explains how the post works in much greater detail here:

This is what my tool block looks like:

That's some serious outside-the-box thinking, kudos to you! I'm bookmarking this post so I have something to point to next time someone asks about turning their mill into a lathe. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you. It has worked very very well for me. Super rigid and makes very nice surface finishes in SS 304.

Hello,

Have you tried this post recently with all of the Fusion updates? I am interested in using it but was curios if you were actively using it. Thank you for making it!

Hi,

Sorry no I have not, but others have been. I was talking with a guy on
Instagram last week and he said he is still using it everyday.

Maybe try it and see if it posts out right. You can check it using a free
Gcode viewer online. It's quite a simple post so not much to break.
