Hi, I have been using a custom 5 axis post that I editted with the help of this forum. The machine si a Kondia with Fanuc 31i control, and has a rotary table with B and C axis.
The thing is, I want to try machine simualtion, but I don't know where to start. I have looked at the tutoria, but I am clueless as to how to edit the postprocessor for it. I already have the model of my machine ready and I created the machine config.
Any information or help? I attach the post in case anyone can help.
I don't think there would be a need to make post processor edits just to make a Machine Simulation file for checking toolpaths with simulation
Load a similar machine and look at the structure, you just need to isolate bodies for each axis and then designate them within the Machine Builder, then test by checking motion with sliders
I separate things into Fixed or Moving and then group them as needed
Take a close MachineConfig file that Fusion provides, copy it, and then add all your own machine components then build out your setup removing what exists if you need a starting point. You can edit the travels / rapids as needed to match your machine
Fusion has not done a good job documenting these steps, a SIGNIFICANT amount of forum posts seem to be rooted in "what SPECIFIC post (that i dont actually need I can typically just use generic) or MACHINE CONFIG file can I use"
I tried tk do just that, and when is went to simulate and ticked the box machine, it said that the post was not configured to simulate machine, and I couldn't do anything.
I already have a cad drawing of my machine and a configuration done and it gives me that error.
I will try that and see if it simulates.
The only thing I would prefer I'd yo do it with my own post, just to be sure I post exactly what I am simulating
