Machine Builder - no CAPABILITY MACHINE SIMULATION

Hi, I was trying to set up a custom machine with the new machine builder.
I did manage to set it up with the machine builder, but when I try it in the simulation i get the no capability machine simulation.

What am I doing wrong?

Let me know, thank you.

Bye

Hi @ale.enneacca,

The reason for the error message is because your post doesn't support machine simulation, the functionality would need to be added in order to get this to work.

Thank you Daniel, so as you say it's a grbl problem. And I think this is
something that only the grbl post processor developers can handle, right?
It's not just a flag in the post processor...

Good afternoon,

If you are only using a 3 axis machine, you can change the following line in your post processor:

capabilities = CAPABILITY_MILLING;

To this:

capabilities = CAPABILITY_MILLING | CAPABILITY_MACHINE_SIMULATION;

Thank you for answer George, I will try it ASAP. Actually it's just 3 axis
milling (I know, it's almost useless, but I wanted to try it anyway). I'll
let you know if that works.

Great George, it works!
I know it's useless for a 3 axis but it's nice to see the simulation of your own cnc.
Thanks again mate.

It's useless for a Minimill like mine, but it's still nice to be able to view the final result 🙂

Hello George,

If you have Millturn, a 4+1 multi axis machine, how do you proceed then?

Thanks for your time!
