How to machine both inside and on or outside the machining boundary selection?

How do i create a toolpath that machines inside one boundary edge and yet on or outside another boundary edge?

The surface on this component is sloped.

I would draw a sketch of the outline that you want the cutter to be limited to, and then use that as an "inside" boundary. 

As Seth says, if we have the model then I can show you example as an option for a solution.

If you use a 3D toolpath you could probably select whole thing and use avoid/touch to get what you want.  

 

Or do 2 separate ops and post process them together.

I have done a lot of this and the quickest, dead-easy way that I have found is sketch geometry. Go into the design workspace, create a sketch that makes an outline around the areas you want to cut, make sure it's visible, then go back to the manufacturing workspace to make your toolpath again. Use your sketch to specify the tool boundary.

 

As an example, you could use a simple square to just cut the whole corner of the piece out and leave the rest of the stock untouched. If you use the "project" feature in your sketch, you can offset edges of the part to the outside so they are included in the cut. If you want to exclude edges from the cut, offset them to the inside. If you offset edges by as little as 0.001", they won't be included in the cut and it won't change the accuracy of what you are doing. It seemed a little "hack-ey" when I first heard of it, but it works SO incredibly well.

Apologies folks, it seems there wasn't actually a problem in the first place, it seems i was just looking at it from too much of an angle.
