Groove with 2d pocket - how to tell not to start in another piece

Hi deal all!
I've programmed to have my CNC make grooves into several pieces of ply.
It's only that the groove enters and exits more than neccessary out of the groove (see picture attached). I want that pass to start e.g. in the groove, or just outside (so I can get all my pieces out of my plywood, instead of having to buy another sheet).
I've been fiddling around already a bit, but so far can't find out.

Any suggestions?

I guess I just found it myself. 🙂

Safe distance was 6mm, made it 1mm and it was good.
