Hi guys.
I am not getting the right cutter compensation output in my post processor.
In the sample attached, I have made a simple contour and set "cutter comp" to "wear".
I am using the latest Generic Heidenhain post processor from Autodesk's posts.
In the Heidenhain language "Cutter comp" is defined by either "RL" or "RR". In my case I need it to be "RL" (Radius Compensation Left) as I am "Climb Milling".
The post processor is only picking up on the first linear move of the contour with "RL" turned on.
what I need is "RL" to be in every single block until "cutter comp" again is canceled with "R0" in the last line of the contour.
By editing the Post Procesoor, how do I change this?
Hope someone is able to help me here. thanks!
Sample File and Post Processor attached...
Here's how the code looks at the moment (Fusion 360 - Generic Heidenhain Post Processor):
25 L X-41.8 Y+32.8 Z-22 RL F214 26 CC X-40 Y+32.8 27 CP IPA+90 DR+ 28 L X+40 Y+31 F300 29 CC X+40 Y+15 30 CP IPA-90 DR- 31 L X+56 Y-15 32 CC X+40 Y-15 33 CP IPA-90 DR- 34 L X-40 Y-31 35 CC X-40 Y-15 36 CP IPA-90 DR- 37 L X-56 Y+15 38 CC X-40 Y+15 39 CP IPA-90 DR- 40 CC X-40 Y+32.8 41 CP IPA+90 DR+ F214 42 L X-38.8 Y+34 R0
And here's what I need the code to look like: (From Different CAM package - Heidenhain Post Processor).
12 L X+50,142 Y+0,488 RL F214
13 CC X+59,3 Y-1,131
14 C X+50,0 Y-1,131 DR+ RL
15 L Y-15,0 RL
16 CC X+40,0 Y-15,0
17 C X+40,0 Y-25,0 DR- RL
18 L X-40,0 RL
19 CC X-40,0 Y-15,0
20 C X-50,0 Y-15,0 DR- RL
21 L Y+15,0 RL
22 CC X-40,0 Y+15,0
23 C X-40,0 Y+25,0 DR- RL
24 L X+40,0 RL
25 CC X+40,0 Y+15,0
26 C X+50,0 Y+15,0 DR- RL
27 L Y-4,131 RL
28 CC X+59,3 Y-4,131
29 C X+50,142 Y-5,75 DR+ RL
30 L X+56,2 Y-5,263 R0
