Hello,
I am using Fusion 360 for a while now. I used Mastercam sometimes , where I can make a 3D Raster Machining Strategy(Parallel Like) on 3 Axis Flattened Surface. And then there is a convenient option to wrap it on a diameter. (See Screen Shot) , I could not find a wrap option on Fusion 360's Raster Strategy equivalent , Parallel Strategy.
I enabled Manufacturing Extension , and found a 4th Axis Cylindrical Wrap Strategy , which only has 3 options:
Line , Helix and Circular , none of them let me mention the angle of the passes , and also for some reasons there is required to mention Stepover in Degs ? , Why would a user who wants to finish his part mention stepover in degrees ???? Would not a stepover in distance be easy to understand ?
I am attaching a snapshot of my mastercam dialog box where it enables what it calls Axis Substitution and generates a wrapped toolpath.
This is standard option , and I use it to wrap my plain 3 Axis Toolpaths on a Fixed Diamter.
Let me know if fusion has an option similar to this , also if anybody knows how will I be able set my Passes in 4th Axis Toolpath to a Fixed Angle such that they move parallel to the Helix of my screw.
Thanks
I am attaching my fusion file in case if anyone wants to see.
