Shrink wrap / convex hull

Shrink wrap / convex hull

This would let you select one or more bodies or faces and generate essentially a tight, shrink wrapped plastic boundary that surrounds them.

Ideally this would be implemented as a convex hull but with parameters to allow the user to specify clearances around objects, maximum bend radius to avoid sharp corners, and a way to turn the corners to control points for a spline or NURBS like organic surface.

Very useful for designing shells and fairings and the such.

Thank you for idea - this is getting archived due to lack of votes.  You can however use the combine feature to create one body out of multiple bodies.  Combine is in the model environment under the modify tab.

I would love this feature, even if it is archived.

I positively need this feature - it's one of the things keeping me in OpenSCAD for parametric design - I would love to be able to recreate some OpenSCAD models in Fusion 360.

convex hull is a necessity of any good parametric modeling system
