Project and intersect as a construction geometry by default

Project and intersect as a construction geometry by default

Hi!

The issue is: when you project anything to sketch it's being projected as normal lines geometry.

I'm sure this either should be changed or at least made as an option to make it construction by default.

My point is - when one projects anything it's more probable that projection would be used as a reference than as a normal geometry.

Now if you project some line and use it say as a mirror line then you end up with your closed profile divided on halfs by projected line.

This is odd I believe.

This topic has already been reaised up earlier in: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation-request-a/project-geometry-as-construction/idi...

But I feel it should be resurrected.

Thanks.

I think that this idea has been implemented?

Pressing X switches to construction mode but it doesn't work for projections. This is a bug because the preview of the projection is a dotted construction line but when you pick you end up with a normal line!

See this post for a screencast and bug report, hopefully this will get fixed soon.
