I finally found out how to set preferences (It would be a good idea to put preferences explicitly listed next to the username or similar to make it discoverable...)
I found that when I hold shift and the middle mouse button and move the trackpoint, I'm very very used to that zooming out. (solidworks behavior)
I tried to change the settings in fusion and it didn't actually change the setting for zoom.
I clicked the "reverse zoom" in settings and it didn't reverse the zoom.
I have my trackpoint configured to move even when keys are pressed, set to 150percent sensitivity (only doable in registry because some bean counter doesn't know how they are used)
and set so that the middle mouse button actually does a middle click..
(I've been very productive without a mouse using these settings... It's actually better than a mouse.)
recently web browsers have made the scroll gestures be backwards... I guess I blame Apple and some videogames that somehow treat turning your head down as if it were turning it up... I don't understand)
