Weldments and Cutlists

Weldments and Cutlists

In solid works I am able to use weldments and cutlists which is handy for sheet metal and wood as well as other things.  Seeing as there is "Fast Track" and direct comparison for Solid Works, how come Fusion 360 lacks this?  I would like to be able to create a part and carry along its dimensional features into an assembly and drawings so I can create adequate BOMs and cutlists for the same assembly.

I'd like to see this as well. Nice feature for working with sheet materials.

i want a feature to create welded fabrications, and i want a BOM to be generated for the plates, tubes or channels used in weldments.

this is present on inventor and is quite intuitive to use

but this is a major draw back in fusion

if we have a standard sections library where we can pick C, L,I, H, Box section channels just by typing in the dimensions in the table

and this makes works simple

I look forward for this feature in near future

Yup, I third this!!! Please add weldments from sketches with the ability to create custom weldment files as well. Once Fusion 360 becomes as powerful as other programs no one will use anything else. It will be like Adobe Photoshop. The standard for 3D design!

Very Much Needed for Machine Design.

I've been thinking the same thing.  Something like what is in Inventor would be VERY useful.

Thanks for the submission. This is in our backlog but we are focusing on higher priority projects this year and won't be able to get to this. We'll keep you posted on our progress.

After recently discovering Fusion 360 after many many years of solidworks & solid edge use I had to comment here.

if weldments are added as a design feature to this software it will become the market leader.

businesses as well as individuals will switch to fusion like a tsunami washing away solidworks.

if there is one feature that must be the highest priority on the developers list this absolutely must be it.
