Vise Model for CAM

Vise Model for CAM

I'm starting to explore the CAM functionality on a homemade CNC that runs on Arduino.

Can you provide a tutorial on Modeling a simple Vise to hold stock?

1. Include the model in tutorial. CAM the components of the vise.

2. Have the user assembly the vise.

3. User has a Vise to hold stock.

4. Add registration marks to Vise.

4. Vise is a model in Fusion360 that can be virtually referenced and simulated when CAM new parts that need to be rotated to CAM bottoms or sides (and registration made in model before CAM path created).

Hey @doreen_holley,

Have you explored the CAM Samples Project in the Data Panel. It has a number of workholding options you can use for your parts.

I'm not sure if we will be able to create a complete tutorial on how to model a vise in Fusion, but hopefully if you play around with the models in that Project, you'll be able to see the joints it uses and you'll be able to import them into your models for CAM purposes. Let me know if that's sufficient for you!

Best,

Lucas
