Variable Chamfer Option

Variable Chamfer Option

I think adding a varible chamfer option, like what you can do with fillets, would be a very useful option. Searching the forums, it seems that many other folks have been wondering how to perform such a task. I have with help, figured out how to get around this, but it's rather labor intensive.

Thanks,

Steve Manning

Thanks for your idea! This is definitely something nice to have, and we have this captured. Unfortunately - considering all the things we have prioritized, this falls pretty low on our backlog, and we are not sure when we will be able to get to it. We are archiving this and will keep you posted if we get to this in future updates.

Another type variable chamfer or fillet that I think is a must is the ability to give different values on two ends of the edge, or more points on the same edge. the attached image is from Rhino, it is a feature that we use often and I believe it is much used among designers:

Thanks a lot for your attention and great work you're doing with Fusion360

I use many Modeling programs for business. I'm teaching myself Fusion to possibly try something new from what I currently use because I have heard many great things about Fusion. However,  I have noticed there is not an option to create a variable Chamfer. This would be very helpful and more efficient to have for modeling. Also seems that I am not the only one to mention this. Hope to see this on here in an update. thanks

Please please please re consider a variable chamfer, I've asked for it back in 2016, now three years on it breaks my heart that I have to export a body in Rhino for a variable chafe (oh and I tries to make it work with lofts and sweeps... 😞

Otherwise, thank you for everything els you've been adding and improving, I managed to convert two other colleagues to Fusion, and I think it has a lot to offer.

thanks
